Rebate Program
There are several rebates available for homeowners & contractors who purchase and install heat pumps - we strive to achieve the maximum savings possible for you.

Federal

As of 2023, homeowners are eligible for a maximum tax credit of $2,000 per year for qualified heat pumps - under the IRS Energy Efficient Home Improvement Credit.

Under the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022, there are two Home Energy Rebate programs [Home Efficiency Rebates & Home Electrification and Appliance Rebate] that are not yet available, but the DOE expects to launch these programs in 2024. New Hampshire has received early administrative funding and is currently preparing the full funding application.

State
Rebates are now available in New Hampshire with the purchase and installation of eligible heat pumps. They are accessible to New Hampshire electric customers - Eversource, Liberty, Unitil, & New Hampshire Electric Cooperative.

The rebate is determined by dividing cooling capacity [BTUs] by 12,000, then multiplying by $250.
*Example: (40,000 BTUs cooling)/12,000 = 3.33 tons*$250/ton = rebate = $833*
